Privacy Policy

The site does not require an account and does not currently collect personal information on its own servers.

Two parts of the site have text fields:

• Buddy Hangout chat: the messages you type or the replies you choose stay in your browser while the page is open. They are not sent to a server and are not saved.
• Support contact form: submitting the form does not currently send anything. The site shows a message saying so, and the name, email address, subject and message you typed are not transmitted or stored.

Like most websites, the service that hosts the site may automatically record basic technical information when a page is requested, such as an IP address, browser type and the time of the request, in routine server logs.

Because the site does not collect personal information through its chat or forms, there is nothing from them to use. Technical information in hosting logs, where it exists, is used to keep the site running, secure and working properly.

If we add features that do collect information, such as a working contact form, we will update this policy to say what is collected and why.

We do not sell personal information. The site does not currently collect personal information to share.

Any information held by the hosting provider in logs is handled by that provider under its own terms.

The site provides a link to the Travel Buddy WhatsApp Community Channel. Activating the link takes you to WhatsApp, which opens in a new tab.

WhatsApp is a third-party service. Once you leave this site and use WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy practices apply, and we do not control how WhatsApp handles your information. Joining the channel is optional.

The site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not use tracking pixels. Its own code does not set cookies or store information in your browser’s local storage.

Your browser or the hosting provider may use technical mechanisms needed to deliver the page. If we add cookies or analytics in the future, we will update this policy.

The site links to external destinations, such as the WhatsApp Community Channel, and may link to app stores, social accounts and other sites as they are added. Those services are operated by other parties under their own terms and privacy policies, which we do not control and do not reproduce here. Please review them before using those services.

The site’s fonts are delivered from the site itself rather than loaded from an outside font service.

We take reasonable care to keep the site secure and to collect as little information as possible. No website or method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Chat and form text is not retained by the site, since it is not sent to us. Information in hosting logs is kept by the hosting provider according to its own practices.

Because the site does not currently collect personal information through its features, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information; once contact details are listed under “Contact Us”, you can use them to ask about information you believe we hold.

You can choose whether to follow external links, including the WhatsApp Community Channel, and you can close the page at any time to clear anything typed into the chat or form.

The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the site changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. Please check back from time to time.
